Ingredients
Step 1:- 2 cups milk
- 3 tbsp. lemon juice
Step 2:
- 2 cups milk
- 2 tbsp. polenta
- 2 tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 tsp rose water
- 1 tsp orange blossom water
- 1 sachet mistka crushed with 1 tsp sugar
Method
Step 1:- Put the milk in a saucepan on the heat.
- Once the milk starts boiling, put off the heat and add the lemon juice and stir.
- Keep the milk for few minutes until it curdles.
- Stir the milk couple of times.
- Turn the curdled milk into a sieve and let it drain very well.
Step 2:
- Put two cups of milk in a saucepan.
- Add the cornstarch, polenta, and crushed mistka to the milk.
- Stir well and put on the heat.
- Keep stirring until it thickens.
- Turn off the heat and add the orange blossom water and rose water.
- Add the curdled milk to the thickened cream and mix well.
- Keep in the fridge until cold.
- Fill katayef with Kashta.
